Opening of the 12th Naples Soap Company store in Wellen Park
Naples Soap Company, known for its high quality skin and hair care products made with natural and organic ingredients, is coming to downtown Wellen. The publicly listed company, created by former nurse Deanna Wallin, joins a growing number of retail shops, restaurants, beauty services, and medical and professional practices in the developing downtown hub of Wellen Park and the region.
“Naples Soap Company’s emphasis on health, self-care and the healing power of natural products will resonate with our residents and downtown visitors,” said Wellen Park President Rick Severance. “It mimics the guiding principles of health, wellness and connection to nature on which Wellen Park is founded.”
With stores spanning from Naples to Destin, Naples Soap Company’s Downtown Wellen boutique is its 12th location in Florida. It will feature a fun and inviting coastal design, test products and a sink for customers to sample the products.
“Like Downtown Wellen, we are committed to overall health and well-being,” Ms. Wallin said. “Our artisan products formulated for sensitive skin, pain relief and personal care have always been at the forefront, and we provide a unique shopping experience that people really appreciate.”
Wallin, Founder and CEO, started Naples Soap Company in 2009 after an exhaustive and unsuccessful search to find products that relieved her own lifelong experience with eczema and psoriasis. She tried treatments recommended by dermatologists and, while researching labels on cosmetics and beauty products, was alarmed by the ingredients and the impact on the body.
“Ingredients are key,” Ms. Wallin said. “They are deliberately selected to solve a problem and are good for the skin.”
Today, Naples Soap Company offers hundreds of body, face and hair products free of parabens, phthalates, propylene glycol and other chemicals. All skin and hair care products are made in the USA, many of which are handmade in Florida. The color is derived from natural sources like micas and clays or food grade dyes. The loofahs are organic and the sponges are from Tarpon Springs.
The first phase of downtown Wellen, located off US 41 just west of South River Road in the community of Wellen Park, is currently under construction. The pedestrian destination is 90% leased and offers restaurants, retail, medical offices, beauty and professional services, public community spaces, entertainment, recreation and outdoor activities.
Construction is proceeding on schedule, with tenants expected to begin interior fit-outs in the coming months and several restaurants, shops and offices slated for soft openings by the end of the year.
Consistently ranked among the top five best-selling planned communities in the United States each year by prominent real estate consulting firm RCLCO, Wellen Park offers a mix of residential, commercial and recreational options. The community currently has a population of approximately 9,500 and upon full construction will have over 50,000 residents and 22,500 homes in its three distinct neighborhoods: West Villages, Downtown Wellen and Playmore. ¦
